The L3 Lynx NGT 9000D functions as both an ADS-B “In” and ADS-B “Out” unit.

L3’s Lynx NGT 9000D is the complete ADS-B package providing the ADS-B “Out” solution as well as providing the ADS-B “In” benefits. It is more than just a transponder, the NGT 9000D utilizes modern technology with it’s touchscreen control and wifi enabled capabillities.  Lynx’s resistive touch screen operates like a tablet or smartphone and displays subscription-free weather data, including METARs, AIRMETs, SIGMETs, and NEXRAD graphical displays on a dynamic, moving map.  The NGT 9000D features the patented Lynx Tail which provides detailed information on surrounding aircraft.  This includes flight ID, ground speed and an aircraft classification icon.

The NGT 9000D also displays traffic, terrain and winds and temperatures at specified altitudes improving the aircraft’s situational awareness.  The system features it’s own internal WAAS/GPS and displays real-time NOTAMs and Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) airspace.  The Active Traffic feature is a built-in benefit that is included with the NGT 9000D .  This feature eliminates the need for a separate processor.  Another exclusive feature to the Lynx is L3’s optional NextGen Active Traffic Enablement.
