The ESG Transponder manufactured by Stratus for Appareo functions as an ADS-B “Out” only unit.

The Stratus by Appareo manufactured ESG is a TSO certified, 1090 ES Transponder.  It comes with an integrated WAAS/GPS source and a GPS antenna.  The Stratus ESG was designed for non-glass panel aircraft and is an all-in-one-box solution for 2020 compliance.

The ESG provides an ADS-B “Out” function, however it can be coupled with the Stratus 2S or 2i for added ADS-B “In” function.  Additional upgrades include the Stratus Power (a USB charging port) and the Stratus Vision 1000 (a flight data monitor).
