Description
The ESGi manufactured by Stratus by Appareo pairs the ESG certified transponder with the non-certified Stratus 2i receiver. This combination provides an ADS-B “In” and ADS-B “Out” function. The ESG is a TSO certified, 1090 ES Transponder. It comes with an integrated WAAS/GPS source and a GPS antenna. The Stratus ESG was designed for non-glass panel aircraft and is an all-in-one-box solution for 2020 compliance. The ESG provides an ADS-B “Out” function, however it can be coupled with the Stratus 2S or 2i for added ADS-B “In” function. Additional upgrades include the Stratus Power (a USB charging port) and the Stratus Vision 1000 (a flight data monitor).
The 2i non-certified receiver manufactured by Stratus by Appareo is a WAAS enabled, wireless, ADS-B “In” unit. The 2i delivers subscription-free weather, NEXRAD radar, METARs, TAFs, TFRs, AIRMETs, SIGMETs, and NOTAMs. This unit provides the ability to record your flight with GPS position, altitude speed and attitude. It also offers a stunning display with luminous terrain, night sky view, and a brilliant obstacle awareness system, ForeFlight with Synthetic Vision. Additionally, the 2i provides a dual-band (978 MHz and 1090 MHz) receiver that can display traffic information right on the ForeFlight Maps page.
These two units paired together provide an ADS-B “In” and ADS-B “Out” function.
